Meet our STEAM Instructor

Hello, I'm Shannon Balitsos, and I am thrilled to teach STEAM at Indian Lake Elementary for the first time this year. I look forward to introducing your children to the various aspects of STEAM, fostering their curiosity and creativity.

For the past five years, I have been actively volunteering at Indian Lake, and I am excited to transition into a teaching role. With a background in graphic design, I bring a creative approach to the classroom, aiming to inspire and engage my students in unique ways.

On a personal note, I am married to Jeff, and we have two wonderful children, Katie and Cooper who both attended Indian Lake. Katie and her husband, Drew, live in Charlotte, NC and Cooper is entering his 7th grade year in middle school. My experiences as a parent and volunteer in this community have deepened my commitment to making this first year of teaching a memorable and impactful one for your kids!
