Back To School Last Minute Checklist
Below is a list of items to double check and be sure you’ve got everything in place for Monday. We’re super excited about the year ahead.
It is crucial for you to create an account if you are a new family or update your account if you are a returning family. This is how email messages are sent and your students info needs to be updated with their new teacher. This is also a great opportunity to select the areas where you would like to be more involved in volunteering so we can reach out to you with more information.
We are required to have a high percentage of responses for this mandated survey. Please take a moment to complete it. We really appreciate. The deadline is Sunday the 7th.
Please email email@example.com if you need login information. Please provide your students full name and teacher.
Please make sure your child knows how to get home on Monday.
If your student is riding the bus home please be sure they know their bus number. Not sure what you bus number is? Find out here: http://bus.sumnerschools.org/elinkrp/Students/BasicTransBoundarySearch.aspx
If you haven’t already funded your child’s account, you can send a check with the students name and teach to school Monday or you can fund it online at https://www.mypaymentsplus.com/

If you purchased your supplies at registration they will be waiting on your student Monday morning. If you are purchasing them yourself the complete list are here:
Teacher Wish List Items
In case you missed it, there are large posters with sticky notes of items teachers would find helpful for the year. They include things like sharpies, dry erase markets, paper towels, clorox wipes, highlighters, etc.. They posters will be up through parents night so feel free to pull a sticky or two and return the item to school with your child or if you have extra supplies of the basics you can send them in on Monday as well.
We have a record breaking number of new families at ILE this year. In an effort to make them feel welcome we are looking to create a buddy system where families familiar with ILE are partnered with new families to help them get acclimated both at school and in our community. If you are a new family who would like to participate or an existing family who would like to volunteer to be a “Good Neighbor” please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to learn more.
Parent’s Night / Open House
This years parent night will be on Monday the 15th from 6-7 in your child’s classroom. Teachers will have a lot of information that will help to get your student year off on the right foot. Please plan to attend. If you are a new family we encourage you to come early and meet us in the library from 5-6 and we will go over the school calendar and profile helpful information to make your first year at ILE amazing.
Monday Morning Drop Off
Earliest drop off for students not enrolled in fun company is 6am.
Students and parents who arrive prior to 8:15 will wait in the designated areas. For kindergarten first and second, that is the gym. For 3rd 4th and 5th that is the cafeteria. At 8:15 they can walk them to class. The kindergarten teachers will be in the gym to meet the kindergarten parents. They need to park in designated spaces and use the crosswalk appropriately. They will need to exit the building by 8:30. As always we will have adults stationed throughout to help. After the first day, the students in grades 1 through 5 need to be coming into the building by themselves unless there is a valid reason. After the first day parents must sign in at the office if they are going down into the classrooms.
First Day of School picture backdrop
There will be a first day picture back drop set up on the cafeteria starting at 8:00 Monday morning until 8:25 since students need to be in their rooms by 8:30 and it will remain up after school until 4 pm. It will also be there Tuesday morning for the Kindergarteners phasing in.
